Mandy Schulzke
I became a counselor because I believe that each of us has the ability to grow and change. I know that sometimes growth is difficult and painful, but a little help can make the journey easier. I have training in several techniques and combine them to tailor your treatment for you. Some problems require lengthy treatment, but many issues treated in therapy require relatively brief intervention with periodic checking after goals are met. My goal is to help you feel better as soon as possible—with some relief possible after the first session.
I focus on issues relevant to many women, men, and couples, such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, past abuse, and life transitions. I help children and adolescents ages 14 and up with many of the common challenges they face as well—behavioral issues, social conflict, mood disorders, and just growing up. I have developed a passion for working with first responders and their families. I believe in the importance of connection and family, which is why I have chosen to work with couples, receiving specialized training in attachment.
When I am not working, you can usually find me with my family. I have been married for 26 years and have four adult children. I love the rich culture that we have in Arizona, and would not choose anywhere else to live.
